Congress is the body which consists of the National Associations affiliated to the Federation under the statues. Two representatives from each National Association make up the body that is the Congress. The General Assembly of the West Asian Football Federation is considered to be the highest body of the federation. This group meets, on average, once every four years excluding exceptional circumstances.

One of the Congress’ most important roles is that it is responsible for the amendment of the statutes and the election of the Executive Board which is the executive authority in the WAFF.
