Lebanon and Bahrain to the “Waff U18” final


The Lebanese and Bahrain national teams qualify for the 2nd waff U-18 girls Championship final, which Bahrain holds on Khalifa Sports City Stadium.

Moreover, in the semi final, Lebanon win against Palestine 4-0, and Bahrain defeated Jordan 5-3 by penalties after they tied 0-0.

On Monday January 6th, Lebanon will face Bahrain in the final of the championship at 20:30 (Bahrain time), And Jordan will play against Palestine (17:30) for the third and fourth position, and For the fifth and sixth position, UAE meets Kuwait on Sunday 5 January.

Lily Iskandar scored Hattrick for Lebanon in the 28th, 42nd and 45th minutes and Farah Al-Tayyar (90+2 penalty), on the other side Dana Bawatna (67) and Jennifer Shatara (75) scored For Palestine.

According to the tournament system, in case the original time ends in a draw, the penalty shootout is directly resorted to, and the same applies to the matches for determining the fifth, sixth, third and fourth places.

The Jordanian national team won the title of the first edition of the Women's Championship that was held in Lebanon in August 2018, with a score of 6 points, while Lebanon came second with 3 points, and Palestine finished last without points.
