One step separates 4 teams from the U-23 Championship final

4 teams are just one step away from qualifying for the final match of the second WAFF U23 Championship, which will be hosted by the Saudi Federation in Dammam and Al Khobar until October 12, 2021.

Today, Sunday, October 10, 2021, these teams will appear in the two semi-final matches, where Jordan and Syria will meet first at 5:45 pm (Saudi time) at Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium at Al-Khobar, then the host, Saudi Arabia, will play against his Iraqi counterpart in the second confrontation at 8:00 pm at Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam.

This quartet seeks a win to reach the final scheduled at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium, where a champion will be crowned of the second edition of the tournament, which witnessed many exciting and competitive scenes, compared to the levels presented by the participating teams in the group stage.

According to the instructions, if the original time of the two final matches ends in a tie, the penalty kicks will be decided directly to determine the identity of the winner and the qualifier for the final match.

The Jordanian team topped the first group with 6 points, while the Iraqi team topped the second group with 7 points and Saudi Arabia topped the third group with 6 points. Syria qualified with 3 points as the best team ranked second among all groups, after the results of the teams’ matches were crossed out. Which ranked second with the last place in each group, given that there were 4 teams in each of the first and second groups, unlike the third, which included only 3 teams
