WAFF Congress & Executive Committee to Meet on September 3
The West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) has set the 3rd of September as the date for the twenty-fifth meeting of the Executive Committee and the tenth meeting of the General Assembly (Congress).
WAFF sent the official invitation to the members of the Executive Committee headed by His Royal Highness Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, President of WAFF, and to all Member Associations to attend the two meetings, which will be held separately via video conference.
During the meeting, the Executive Committee will discuss many topics included in the agenda. The most prominent of which are the upcoming championships, activities and meetings organized by WAFF and the developments related to the 2020-2021 agenda. The participants will also review the previous championships reports, as well as reviewing financial, marketing and legal matters.
Moreover, the General Assembly meeting will review the outcome of the Executive Committee’s meeting and many other subjects will be discussed, including the financial statements for the past three years, the 2020-2021 budget before its approval, and topics related to the technical issue through the plan of activities and programs that have been held or to be established.
The Executive Committee consists of Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein (Jordan, President), General Jibril Rajoub (Palestine, First Vice President), Sheikh Salem Bin Saeed Bin Salem Al Wahaibi (Oman, Second Vice President), and members Sheikh Ali Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa (Bahrain), General Hatem Al Ghayeb (Syria), Remon Semaan (Lebanon), Ali Hussain Al-Mutairi (Kuwait), Hussein Saeed (Iraq), Ahmed Al-Buainain (Qatar), Ibrahim Al-Qasim (KSA), Dr. Hamid Al-Shaibani (Yemen), and Hamid Al-Tayer (UAE).
The Executive Committee also includes Sheikha Hessa Bint Khalid Al Khalifa (Bahrain), Amal Bu Shallakh (UAE) and Suzan Shalaby (Palestine). They were nominated after agreeing to create three EXCO seats for females during the previous meeting of the Executive Committee, which was held in Amman last year.
