Wins for Jordan and Lebanon in Group B
Manama – Jordan started their campaign with a big win against Qatar 20-0 on Wednesday in Group B of WAFF second Women Futsal championship 2012 in Bahrain.
Stephanie Al Naber (1, 3, 37), Farah Alazab (2, 22, 37), Maysa Jbarah (9, 10, 23, 29, 35, 38), Abeer Al Nahar (14, 17, 31, 36), Hebah Fakher Elddin (16), Enshirah Al Hyasat (21), Shahnaz Jebreen (31) and Abeer Rantisi (39) scored the winning goals for Jordan.
In the other match at the same group, Lebanon won against Palestine 5-2.
Sara Bakri (29), Sara Haidar (35, 38) and Nancy Tchaylian (37, 40) scored for Lebanon, while Nevin Alkolayb (20 and 38) scored Palestine two goals.
The second round of the group will be played on Friday, as Jordan face Lebanon, while Palestine plays Qatar.
The Championship started on Tuesday when Bahrain defeated Iraq 8-2 in Group A, while Iran meets Iraq on Thursday at the same group.
