KSA and Qatar to the Finals of the FIFAe Nations Cup 2021

KSA and Qatar have qualified to the FIFAe Nations Cup 2021, which will be organized by the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) from 20 to 22 August in Copenhagen. 

This came after the conclusion of the two teams’ participation in the Middle East and Africa group for the FIFAe Nations Cup qualifiers, played on both PlayStation and Xbox, which concluded on the second Sunday of May 2021.

KSA finished top of the group with 19 points after the conclusion of the preliminary round matches, South Africa came in second-place with 18 points, while Qatar came in third-place with 17 points, and India came in fourth-place with 16 points. 

The four teams qualified to the semi-final round, which was held in a knockout system, and during which KSA and Qatar won their matches to qualify together for the final match, which ended in favor of KSA, while Qatar ranked second. 

In addition to KSA and Qatar, the qualifiers were attended by Kuwait, UAE, India, and South Africa.

Furthermore, KSA and Qatar participated in the eWAFF Invitational, which was organized by the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) for the first time at a regional level, under the umbrella of the FIFA and during the approved FIFA eFriendly days. 

KSA won the tournament, while UAE came in second-place, Kuwait came in third-place, and Qatar in fourth-place. 

The tournament was officially recognized by FIFA and included in the rankings, and its results were approved and taken into consideration in the draw for the FIFAe Nations Cup 2021 for the West Asia and Africa group.
